Trevor Lombardi's profile

Lombardi Family Collaboration: Short Film Music Collage

My dad had an 8mm camera in 1967/68 which he used to mess around with his friends in Alameda, California. His love for pop culture and art gave him an opportunity to create unique little short films that never had more production or views than that of being put on the family projector. I saw this as an opportunity to use the creative shots as a music video of the Lombardi family, but also as a way to share what life in the 60s looked like. The songs help solidify the feeling.
The video above is my dad and his friend Jimmy messing about Alameda with the song "Walk, Don't Run" by the Ventures. Most of the jump cuts are original and minimal editing was done to sync the video to the song.
This video is of the Lombardi family moving from Alameda, California to Reno, Nevada with some footage of San Francisco in the mix backed by "You're Gonna Miss Me" by The 13th Floor Elevators.
The Lombardi's on vacation on the Skunk Railroad backed by "King Of The Road" by Roger Miller.
