Toronto on B&W 35mm
As a photographer, I challenge myself to take on tasks that I feel any sort of hesitation towards because I strongly believe that challenging yourself each opportunity you get will make you better at your craft. Something that I had a hesitation towards for a long time was black and white photography. Reason? There is none, it was just something different. Stepping into something new is a challenge and it's a risk, especially since I chose to shoot my first black and white photos on 35mm film. I had nerves, but I pushed myself to try and stopped thinking about what others may think or even what the outcome might be - I just had fun. If they came out terrible, it's a learning experience. Needless to say, I found a new obsession.
