On May 24, 1626 Dutch colonists acquired Manhattan from the Native American people, the Lenape tribe. Inspired by the fabric and medicine wheel of the first inhabitants of Manhattan, I have created LINOUQ, a metal mosaic made of over 4,000 printed metal squares. This collection of photographs is used to create this photo-assemblage compiled of 4,170 printed metal squares that hang from a chain link fence of Thomas Jefferson Park.
