Concept | Bottage
Due to the distance and time difference, communication is always a big problem for us. We can not see each others' faces or feel their mood directly. We even do not have the same time for a call. So we try to solve the problem and find a new way of long distance communicating in different zones.
Bottage was inspired by drift bottle. It could not only record our voice messages but also our emotions. The message will always stay in the bottle until we open it. The visualization of emotion is achieved by the refraction of the LED with glass lens.
Based on the MQTT and TCP protocol, Bottage could transfer the message and emotion over long distance. The System consists of two bottles and the cloud server. Bottle A receives the voice, and upload it to the server. The voice message will be analyzed and transfered to emotion data in the cloud. Then the server will send both voice message and emotion data to Bottle B. Finally Bottle B replays the voice message and visualizes the emotion by controlling the vibration unit, the color and the frequency of the pulse of the LED.
