The Moving Image Archive is Scotland's national collection of moving image and video documenting the changing landscape of Scotland.
My brief was to re-brand the Archive and instil a new sense of importance and relevance as well as to create a framework to easily convey the facilities the archive has to offer and celebrate it's newfound home in the refurbished Kelvin Hall.
My brand focused on the rich material of imagery and videos that the archive has amassed over the years and put that at the forefront. Utilising black and white as main focus points and allowing each image to speak for themselves utilising a duotone colour system allows for diversity but an element of simplicity. As a key element of the project I created an expanded typeface that represents the elongation of time and movement, a perfect relationship with the Moving Image Archive.
