Adobe Design Competition for DJ Duo Lucas & Steve

I joined the Adobe design competition (#adobedesignremix). The goal was to create a new cover for Lucas & Steve´s new track called "Where have you gone (Anywhere)". Only by listening to their track, which has no lyrics, and knowing the title the designer has had to come up with ideas for a cover.
By creating so many covers I want to show off my thinking process and show that I am capable of creating many solutions for the same task.

Concept: The boyfriend is wondering where his girlfriend is, cause she´s currently not around. He´s thinking "where have you gone". She´s gone anywhere, since Hong Kong is a big and chaotic city. I used a picture of Hong Kong to refer to Lucas & Steve´s Skyline Sessions´ cover, which is Hong Kong, too.

Concept: Where have you gone? Literally anywhere - even to a desert.

Concept: Where have you gone? Literally anywhere - even China, Japan, Malaysia etc.

Concept: I wanted to pick up the key object here, which is Polaroid. Polaroid plays a key role in Lucas & Steve´s recently published music videos (Anywhere, Home, With You), and the new track lines up, too. By taking up the camera, I refer to the music videos and to beautiful memories a couple has had and now thinking of them.

Concept: Here I´m addressing there relationship between Lucas & Steve. Because of whatever reasons they are currently on a distance, but are still kind of connected through the paint swipe. The red versions show that they have gone literally anywhere - even to another dimension.

Concept: Hong Kong is a big city where you can go anywhere and get lost. I used a picture of Hong Kong in addition to refer to Lucas & Steve´s Skyline Sessions´ cover, which is Hong Kong, too.

Concept: Polaroid plays a key role in Lucas & Steve´s recently published music videos (Anywhere, Home, With You), and the new track lines up, too. By taking up the polaroids, I refer to the music videos and to beautiful memories a couple has had and now thinking of them. On bottom right I used similar red, black and orange shapes to line up with Lucas & Steve´s branding.

Concept: Symbolically I´m showing big city which is also a globe and you can go anywhere and get lost.

Concept: I aimed to show off a romantic relationship between a couple (and refer to Lucas & Steves music videos), who is traveling and has gone everywhere and anywhere. By using picture of Hong Kong I´m referring to Lucas & Steve´s Skyline Sessions´ cover, which is Hong Kong, too.

Concept: In this version I´m playing around with shapes and typography. Also I created a Lucas & Steve outline which adds contrast to straight and geometrical shapes.

Concept: Just simple shapes combined with a lightsome and beauty of a flower and additionally a slight play with typography and color.

Concept: A very simple idea where I´m playing with the paint swipe and typography. Also I created a Lucas & Steve outline which adds some craftmanship.

Concept: A couple, that was apart, is now back together and theire thoughts are displayed around and integrated into the picture. Also pictures are meant symbolically since you can go on a road trip and can go anywhere.

Concept: Where have you gone? Literally anywhere - even to such a surreal and postapocalyptical world with flying jellyfish.
