3rd year idenity design brief for University of Chester's Faculty of Arts & Media.
University of Chester: Faculty of Arts & Media
3rd year University project. The brief was to re-brand the Arts & Media faculty, allowing it to have its own visual identity, separate from the rest of the University.
The logo design is made up of overlapping geometric 'A' and 'M' shapes to symbolise simplicity and their USP of course combination. The shape resembles a crown in response to the campus name of 'Kingsway'. Other hidden meanings such as a pencil nib sillouette to suggest creativity, and seven corners that represent the 7 undergraduate courses are included in the design.
The pocket map was designed to help visitors with wayfinding around the campus, and includes dates for upcoming shows and exhibitions to entice a new audience and solve the problem with poor attendance at events.
