‘Naturally’ is a project that looks at the invisible forces of nature that keeps the world going. The way that nature managed to work out for the existence of mankind is a great miracle, and in this project, I want to draw attention to the invisible force of gravity.
This project uses an ultraviolet laser light and glow-in-the-dark paint to create patterns generated by the swing of a complex pendulum. A laser is being attached at the end as a weight and left to swing freely. The glow pigments, upon photochemical reaction with the laser, traces out the path that the pendulum took. Being confronted with the phenomenon, the viewers are left to contemplate the implications of the movements made by a pendulum.
