First realistic dog animation since... erm I don't remember.
Character animation in Maya
Black/White just for continuity.

Although I prefer cartoony animation (duh!), this project gave me some new experience.
After shooting Boxer reference I played the videos frame by frame. I've analyzed how dog moves each bone to reproduce the same move on the skeleton (the rig has the option to switch to bones view). It's easier to just animate quads without any restrictions. In this project I couldn't just stretch the limbs to get the pose I want - I needed to keep it realistic as much as possible for the muscles and skin simulation purposes.
Also I've paid attention to the mouth and how fast it wiggles. View some dog videos frame by frame and just look on the head. Amazing!
