Overview: The first phase of studio focussed on mapping Kashmeri Gate area under the theme-'Shops, Offices, Businesses & Trade'. Mapping of the area provided an understanding of how the place functions in context of the above mentioned theme. The next stage of studio focussed on the front loaders of Minerva Cinema Area in Kashmiri Gate. Various issues, which the front loaders of Kashmeri gate face in their day to day routine were therefore addressed in this project.
Tools: Maps, locational indicators, interviews, observations, visuals,photographs, timelines,secondary research,census reports etc.
Term: 6 months.
Role: Research and exploration in the first phase under the theme ' shops, offices, businesses and trade', the focus shifted to the communities/groups that are a major part of the economy of Kashmeri Gate. Thus, front loaders were selected to work in the second phase of the studio.
