Map purchased from Ikea for £10
The map is cut out in detail using a craft knife and cutting board
Different sections of the map were stuck to the wall to make up a world map
Acrylic gold paint from Amazon was applied
...and also made some interesting nail polish! Two coats were required to stop the turquoise from showing through.
The paper map is carefully removed
Little white fiddley bits around the more detailed bits of land were removed carefully with a craft knife
