This 3 dimensional carpet maps out an area of Cape Town from Robben Island in the one corner, through to UCT in the other corner. The beaches of Table View, the Harbour, Green Point, Sea Point, Camps Bay, the city bowl and Table Mountain have been included. The Castle of Good Hope and Green Point Stadium have been marked in grey and are raised above the rest of the carpet. The contours of the sea floor and that of Table Mountain and surrounding peaks are show in gradients of colour.

Dimension has been incorporated into the carpet by differing pile heights. The lowest pile heights feature the black streets and blue ocean. The medium pile height features the light green land and grey concrete areas. The tallest pile height includes Table Mountain and the surrounding peaks.

The Cape Town Carpet measures 78.74" x 118.11" (2m x 3m) and is made using 100% wool. Only 25 of these carpets will be produced and each carpet is marked underneath with its number out of 25. A booklet is included on how to clean and care for the carpet.
