OFFICIAL LOGO DESIGN
Pedico was a New York punk band, created by myself and two friends in 2012. Defiantly anti-pop and with an aesthetic inspired by 1980s faux-machismo and inebriated bravado, we created a brand that defied the generic punk ethos of DIY-or-die and contrived authenticity, and promoted our own view of WE DGAF American energy. During the band's tenure, we created some killer two-minute tunes, visually compelling videos, and a substantive identity, all our own.

The very first music video we shot as a band, we took the lyrics "In my head I was surfin' on the table" from our song Nixon Now, and made it a reality. By commandeering the subway at 4am to ensure we could shoot, we turned the Brooklyn train into a gnarly barrel wave.

To 1980s New Yorkers, Rob Chambers as the "Preppy Killer" is as widely known as checkered cabs and subway tokens. For Pedico, the dichotic marketing title of that horrific crime story found a new purpose as inspiration for an anthemic punk song. For the video, we recruited our good friend, social media megagiant The Fat Jew (@thefatjewish) to take part in a chainsaw brunch, which found us putting the buzz to a 6 foot hoagie and a shitload of watermelons.
