Character Design, Dishonored Inspired
Here are some characters I made during last school year, all inspired by the universe and concept arts of the french video game Dishonored.
Line-Up
The Burner :
In a city where black plague reign, people are dying in the streets, someone has to clean it all. The burner is the chosen one, he burns all the corpses with his flame thrower, destroying all bacterias at the same time. Of course this cleaning duty leaves some marks, giving some nightmares haunting his nights and dragging him down into a weird madness…
Gang Woman:
When you are a woman it is not so easy to be taken seriously, maybe you could if you were a part of a gang. She has to defend her ideas and her friends and she is not afraid to fight as you can see. She also likes to show herself as a man because sadly that is the only way for her to get heard. Maybe one day you will understand that the ones who are stronger are not the ones with most muscles, just the ones with a strong mind.
The Old Clockmaker:
As you get older, time is a lot more precious, maybe too much. This old man works on the big clock of the city, he has always been obsessed with time and how it passes through, that is why he wears so many clocks. As time passed he totally forgot himself, obsessed with work, mechanics and clocks… and became quite skinny and his clothes became way too big for him. But he doesn't care because there is not so many people visiting this huge clock. Between all those mechanical wheels, that is where he leaves, works and dies slowly...
The Good Fortune Teller:
Years ago, she was a prostitute, forced to sell her body to some horrible mans. She needed to buy some food or somethings to get away from this world for a moment. One day things got quite violent with client and she lost both of her eyes. That was when she decided that it was enough and she decided to change things up and escape from her condition. She ended up in the streets, getting money by seducing some mans but she doesn't sell her body anymore, she sells them some stories about their future great lives… Maybe she has the gift of seeing what fortune has for them or maybe she doesn't, but who cares? During those very dark times it is always nice to be seduce by a beautiful woman or to hear some nice stories...
The Rich Man:
In this city rich people have almost all the rights, well that what he thinks… This guy enjoys himself going to the poorest streets and hitting some people over there. Free violence if I could say so. But someday like today, somebody didn't accept that and defended himself, so he had to leave the streets and go back home. Don't worry tomorrow he will come back there and do it again. It is all he has to do, rich people have weird hobbies sometimes.
