Usability Audit
(based on Laws of Heuristic evaluation)
Product Research
My case study is about a Trivia mobile game for both iOS and Android platform called as “loco”, Which is live interactive game show platform, It is a free app where you can play game and win money and it is rated 4.5 stars by 1.6 lakhs users.

User Journey
Play by answering live and interactive quiz questions with given time frame and win money upto 3 lakhs every day, The winning amount will be transferred to Paytm.

User Flow
User Flow is the path a user follows through an application. I like to think of them as mini user journeys.
Onboarding
Case Study
It begins with asking users to enter 10 digit phone number to create account and accept terms and rules of application.

Problem
Application is forcing yours to enter the mobile number to perceive it and It is pushing the user to agree the terms of use, privacy policy & Rules

Solution
Add skip button so the users can skip the page and they can explore the app and register also provide a check box option to user for agreeing the respective terms and rules of the app.

Good Practices followed
Visibility of system status (User Know what’s going on!)
Loco keeps user informed about what is going on through a loader on screen which will ensure that the user does not feel lost when navigating across a product.
Home Page
Case Study
Invite, add friend and 4 day streak with Loco practice quiz#1 to #10 and next game scheduled date and time.

Problem
There is no common standard are been followed for interaction to 2nd level page in Invite, add friends and 4 day streak layout which have a button design but for Loco practice quiz designed box itself is clickable as a button.
Upcoming game scheduler is more like a system-oriented design representation and its difficult for novice user to understand.

Solution
User would not have to wonder or struggle to understand the design difference provide clickable option for entire box design/cards in invite, add Friends and 4 day streak, Try keeping scheduler or clock design realistic, natural as it is with in the real world.

Good Practices followed
Help and documentation (Provide Help!)
Loco help users with a quick demo about the game in a pop-up on screen, which helps user to understand how game actually works.
Menu Page
Case Study
Navigation to Menu page
Icons used in menu page are not consistent and standard

Problem
Navigation to menu page is not clearly defined users need to click of profile icon which leads to menu page with option to edit profile as well. Icons are not consistent as they have used to many different colours and styles of icons.

Solution
Provide hamburger menu icon to navigate to menu section with edit profile option. Prevent duplication of content is the page layout, follow consistent design patterns with rows and clickable content and use single design style for icons (flat or outlined).

Good Practices followed
Match system with real world (I know what you are talking about!)
Loco is speaking user's language with words like coins earned, money earned, invite friends which makes information appear in a natural and logical order.
