X-Men: blue #7 cover

Cover for X-Men Blue #7 for Marvel.

The students are young and had an attitude, I wanted to show a bit of all of them in this piece:
Jean Grey has more focus on this book, all's about her.
Cyclops doesn't have Jean's love anymore and there's something dark and gloomy about him, he's in the shadow part of the piece.
Bobby is openly gay now and is so very happy about it.
Angel longs to go back to his time line.
Hank wants to be friends with Scott again but he loves Jean and it all makes a mess of the identity he's built for himself.
Layout with grey masses for light and volume.
Inking process.
Inked version, note Bobbi's arms in front of the railing, that's because each character is in its own set of layers.
Color version.
The editor, Mark Panicia proposed wisely adding the chewing gum bubble.
Final published piece.
