I landed upon the idea of mushrooms. Mushrooms represents "time" and "oldness". It grow around and out from things that are left on grass-fields for quite a while. That something could be anything, and I realized that footsteps could also be something that counts as a remnant. People may have said their farewell and left for good, but their last footsteps are visible, or at least sensible by those who yearns for them. I took this idea and set to make a foot, which would be separated in different layers according to corresponding the elevations of an actual foot. The mushrooms, all in their distorted figures, would grow from underneath and between the feet. Dark background and adjusted lights were used to give subtle feelings.
