China Exchange Poster Project

Introduction

For our travel project poster we chose to do the Brophy China Exchange. It's a really great trip that focuses on teen life in China and historical context and modern development in China. Since this is an exchange we really tried to represent a little bit of both the China and Arizona culture in our poster, while also attempting to attract guys to go on the trip. Anyone thinking about going on the trip should know that it's a really great chance to experience life on the opposite end of the world, while also the chance to make lifelong friends!

Final Design
This is our final draft of the poster for the China Exchange, which displays each of the cultures of China and Arizona. The poster is supposed to be mysterious which sparks some intrigue into the viewer. We wanted to mix things, like roads and buildings, that usually wouldn't be seen together, the reason or goal for this is so that the person looking at it starts asking questions, like what is that temple or those buildings and where is it at, we were wanting the viewer to go seek out what this poster was all about. We did this by taking a desert photo from Arizona and combining it with a temple photo and skyline from China. Although when we put all these things together it looked off, so we added a filter to make everything look smooth, and then topped it off with the word text and boarder to make it seem more warm. The vagueness and mysterious nature of the photo makes it compelling and leaving the Viewer to ask questions about the trip.
