A children's book in progress that follows Sully the Slug on his adventures as he meets other creatures of the garden. 

A slug (and snakes, worms etc) can be challenging to animate due to a lack of limbs, but I really love the challenge! I love the way Slugs leave magical silver trails behind them, and the way they squeeze into little holes and curl up in tight clumps together to snuggle. 

Do Slugs talk? Who knows! Maybe they hum little tunes as they munch on your flowers too. 

Whatever the truth of the slug, I really like the idea that just as we might find them difficult to draw with complex personality or movement, perhaps they are also misunderstood in the bug world?
