Filthy Skyscraper | Typographical Poster

Filthy Skyscraper | Typographical Poster
This project that began in early September was based around the idea of designing a typographical poster that would help visualise the presence of a message being displayed on the outside windows of a huge skyscraper, aimed specifically at the window cleaners (on the behalf of the building staff or possibly the building owner) asking all window cleaners themselves to stop washing the actual building, due to a desired preference with it’s overall less-than-acceptable hygienic state.

As you will see, the visual content of the final outcome includes a moderate close-up of the glass with the intended message in a clear bold Swiss-style presentation, a reflection of the sun, a flock of birds, as well as some clouds, alongside various cleaning platforms in different stages of elevation. All of this has been topped off with sections of cleaned glass and removed parts of the message, now being washed as well as permanently taken down.

The display mockup for the final outcome places the design itself into a black frame that is then rested up against a wall that shares the same colour as the dominant colour of the finished poster. This helps ensure that both elements blend together in a calm yet formal manner that isn’t too distracting, or make one seem out of place from the other.

So, be sure to tell me what you think in the comment section below!
