About the movie

The movie is amazingly complex in its visual language. You can ultimately tear it apart, and each and any one of it has its own meaning.
All action unfolds only in 5 places, the 6th one appears only for a fer minutes (hospital).
These are 5 colours, each having its own meaning. The colour reflects hidden characteristics of film`s heroes, and they are connected to each other.
The colour of clothes is changing according to the colour of the rooms.
That`s why i've decided to make infographics about this move.
What should be at the turn

A description of the movie
A timeline of changing colours in a period
A desription of main events in certain color period of time
Screenshorts of this episodes
The Meaning of the colours
The information about main cheracters
The costumes made for the movie by Jean-Paul Gaultier
And...
A couple of basic facts
What is the meaning of the colours?

Blue is spirituality, devotion and constancy, truth, eternity.
Mr. Spica could beat up his wife in the street without any threat of being caught.
Green means a triumph of life above death and the act of creation though doom.  At the kitchen The Cook conquers the thieth.
The lover poses naked more then dressed.
Kitchen is the plase to make love.
Red means insation, satanism, hell fire, the area of thief's everland. But Spica craves himself to make all around him in blue and gold, the richous colours. He used to be chorister who`s vandalazing and insulting a boy singing at the kitchen.
White is the colour of elevatory. A place where a man gets rid of himself.
Brown is earth, existence. The lower is essentially in a brown suit, the same colour as his book depository.

Why on Earth turn timeline?
Why not leave it straight?
Greenaway`s mise en scene compositions are based on a balanced triangle, a metaphor of stable state of things in the world.
Meanwhile a "love triangle" appeares in the plot. We can see it visually when Georgina sits at the table inbetwean her husband and lower.
Why
write
so?
Why
on Earth
not
write
so?
Symmetry!
It`s an important detail of building mise en scenes.
Why destroy forms?
The movie is about mass consciousness.
Lover is an intellectual, despised by the consumer society in the face of thr thief.
Society requires disgrace, sex, obesity, no mental stress.
That`s where the deformation of text blocks comes from, a certain loss of legibility.
Mr. Spika stuffed the lover's body with pages of his books. That's what the passion for reading can bring to.
And i want to save consumers from such fate.
Thanks for your attention!
