Some infographics.
As part of my masters thesis, I've been identifying and collating visual themes within Die Antwoord's media. These have then been represented in an infographic format, where the frequency of occurrence of any theme is displayed as one radial unit of a circle.
The following are a selection of the band's music videos.
Then I did the same to their instagram.
I took a representative cross-section of their feed, put it in a grid, greyed it out and then used the same colouring system as before to identify the prevailing themes in their social media presence.
As for the themes themselves and the legend to help decipher these graphics? Say no more.
Perhaps not as exciting as the previous graphics, but when I apply the same one occurrence = one radial unit formula, it becomes pretty special.
I'll edit this project to include a link to the final thesis once it's been marked.
