QUASAF
The Boghossian name is rich with more than a hundred years of deep rooted knowledge in diamonds, precious stones and fine jewellery. Since 1815, the identity of the family has been enriched with a unique journey from the Middle East to Europe.
Quasaf (Cage in Arabic) represents all the struggle that my family endured over 7 generations: My great-grandfather Oaness was born and grew up in Mardine, a town on the border of Anatolia (Turkey) on the border with Syria and Iraq. But this distant ancestor "disappears" from the pages of family history when the Turks begin their plan of extermination in the 1915s. Many of the family members including my great grandfather survived the killings by fleeing to the Syrian province. I was born on the 6th generation.
