Sexual Abuse & Harassment
AcosoenlaU is a feminist online platform that gives voice to university students that are suffering, or have suffered from any type of sexual abuse/harassment.
I was invited to develop a bundle of illustrations that talk about sexual abuse + harassment in schools. These illustrations are designed to be included on their website's update; none of these depict a specific case, respecting the anonymous identities of the victims.
Some of the testimonies involve threatening by teachers or mentors with authority over the victims, bargaining a good professional development over their silence.
Harassment is not limited to touching another person's body; stalking and other inappropriate behaviors are also part of many of the victims' testimonies.
Other testimonies talked about how insecure schools are nowadays, and how hopeless it feels is to know that even if they raise their voice, they won't be listened.
