Lady Mary has always been fond of rivers, seas and oceans. When she was a kitten one of her humans taught her how to make a ship of paper and she made tones of ships and sailed them on a pond in their garden (though her parents took it not to be a congenial occupation for a young lady). Later she started experimenting with different materials to make bigger ones. 
She loves walking along the seashore with its salt winds and crying gulls above the water, dreaming of adventures which wait for her on a ship. She has read a lot of books and knows of such risks as terrifying storms and awful creatures living in the sea water but it doesn't scare her and only makes the dream spicier. She was grown as a lady but no one was able to take this yearning after adventure out of her heart. Romantic and fearless, full of fantasies about her own Odyssey, dreaming of travelling by ships allover the world, she feels like everything is possible for her and will never give up her lifetime dream.
