The Take Root! parenting program, which is currently being developed in three parts (i.e., Take Root! 0 to 6 months, Take Root! 6 to 12 months, and Take Root! 1 to 3 years), will serve to support parents from pregnancy through the first three years of their child’s life.  We were tasked with creating fun, engaging intro videos for each of the three phases.  I have included 2 of them here.  As the Producer/Director on this project, I was tasked with finding actors, locations, set dressings and props along with managing the schedule and deadlines.  There was also a specific request from the external partners for diversity.  The challenge was finding a parent/child combination which matched the diversity requirement and the appropriate age.  Because of the age of the children, I knew using someone who wasn't the actual parent would be problematic.  This was a 1 day 1 location shoot but was about 6 months from conceptualization to completion.  Also, I did the voice-over for "Joey".
