This year Boyer Valley's Yearbook Staff agreed to a theme based on the Chinese zodiac because 2018 is the year of the dog. I loved the idea and couldn't help but run with it. Rather than cut out paper stencils, I used Illustrator to create SVG files of traces I made of cutout facets of a photo of a bulldog running, which I then layers and colorized in Photoshop where I combined the image with text. Red and black would've been more traditionally Chinese, but our school colors are purple and grey- too many of our rivals are red and black.
