The first edition of the Marrakech Art Fair will be held from 8 to 11 October 2010 at the Es Saadi Palace. Forty international art galleries are pleased to invite professionals and passionate art collectors to present their recent discoveries during a 4-day event.Modern art and contemporary art will be high on the agenda. Works of art and creations from the 20th and 21st centuries.A series of cultural and artistic events will take place during the Marrakech Art Fair, such as exhibitions in cultural center, visits of artist's studios, presentations of private collections and more.

The exhibition African Stories by André Magnin will be presented at the former agency of La Banque du Maroc, in front of the Jamaâ El Fna square, the mythic medina of Marrakech listed on UNESCO World Heritage. A great collector of African contemporary art, André Magnin was the assistant curator of the « Magiciens de la Terre » at the Centre Pompidou. He presents here the living forces of the contemporary art of Sub-Saharian Africa. It gathers the fifteen most renowned contemporary artists. Among the artists represented: Chéri Samba from Kinshasa (RDC), Romuald Hazoumé from Cotonou (Benin), Billie Zangewa from Johannesburg (South Africa), Abu Bakarr Mansaray from Amsterdam (The Netherlands), among others.
