January of 2009 I undertook trip with a non-profit organization called Global Support Mission to document the lives of orphans and those living in poverty. I brought nothing but a few journals, some shorts, and my plastic Holga camera. As it turned out, that's more than I would ever need.  When I returned home from East Africa I was shocked with the quality and rawness of the photographs. The following are what I ended up using in my installation and the very moving images that still bring me humility.
