猫が空の一点を見つめる瞬間の横顔を描きました。見ている先には鳥。瞳の中の空にも鳥。
私事ですが、二十数年にわたり、合計4匹の猫と暮らしてきました。
自分にとって猫の印象的な姿は、窓辺でひたすら外の景色を眺める姿です。
しかも何もない（ように見える）ところを、じっと見ていることがしばしばでした。
きっと人間には分からない視点でものを見ているのだろうと
不思議に思っていました。そこからこの絵を描いています。

22歳でこの世を去った猫をモデルに、
そして現在3歳の猫の毛の生え方などを参考に、
何かを見ている時の猫の真剣な表情を描きました。
ご覧いただいた方がそれぞれの猫を思い浮かべていただけたらと、
あえて具体的に猫の色や模様は限定せず、ぼやかして描いています。

I drew a cat who seriously looks at something with reference to the face in profile of a cat died at the age of 22 and the coat of the cat now three years old.
