Catching Hermit Crabs on a Warm Summer Day!

This photo highlights the tiny hermit crabs that were caught as they floated down the receding water. You can see some of the hermit crabs out of their shell, curious to what is going on while the rest of them are hiding inside their shells, waiting to be released back into the water. This image represents the little things that can occupy you while you are relaxing on the beach.
In this photo Jazzlyn is seen looking out at the water in total tranquility. Her gaze is fixed as she watches the waves crash onto the shore. This photo exemplifies her facial features, taking into account even the sand dusted on her face. The photo reminds us that big or small, the beach can be a calming place for all.
A simple yellow flower can tell it's own story to anyone with a creative heart. I saw this beauty on my walk to the beach and, although simplistic, I thought the petals and yellow hue were simply amazing. Summer and beach beauty can be found anywhere, to include the flowers lining the path to the beach.
Along the same walk to the beach I came across a gorgeous waterfall shyly peeking from the trees. The small stream dropped a few times and I was able to catch it so irresistibly from behind the bright green trees in front of me. The summer time is all but complete with views of waterfalls and foaming beaches only feet away.
We all know seagulls are ever present at the beach, and since watching "Finding Nemo," I have found a innate love for seagulls. In this photo you see a silhouette of a seagull flying against an incoming cloud that is blocking the sun. The seagull seems to seamlessly float in the warm summer breeze as the lights behind the cloud accentuate its peacefull effect.
Enjoying the hidden hermit crabs is just part of the fun. In this photo, Jazzlyn and Izzabella are more interested in the splendor of the crabs they are finding than playing with their toys only inches away. This photo just proves how much fun the beach can be during the summer.
The green hues of the seaweed and the sea grass mezmorized me during our initial descent down to the beach. During low tide, the sea leaves its discarded seaweed amongst the rocks and shells on the sand.
A few feet on the other side there was less seaweed and more sand. I couldn't resist taking a picture of my fiance's shadow etched across the sand where we were walking.
Towards the end of the day the sun began to lower and it set beautiful colors and lights across the sky. The vastness of the sky splashed with oranges and yellows took my breath away and I wanted to capture it's essence before the darkness took it away.
As the water was drawn away from the beach it left a shallow pool tucked right into the seagrass. The pool would slightly ripple as the sweet summer breeze would caress it. The blue and green hues against the tan sand were beautiful so I quickly snapped the shot.
During the brightest part of the day, the light sky cast a silhouetted dance of Jazzlyn and Izzabella playing in the water. In between looking for crabs and enjoying the waters cool refreshing spray, you can see the summer time beach fun being used at it's finest.
