Float is a nightstand inspired by the lightness and freedom of art.
With two storage spaces, the base supports the box with thin carbon steel bars, it causes the feeling that they are floating.

Unique Properties / Project Description:
Float is a nightstand full of hand painted colors. The lower part is to be faced the bed. This makes easier to pick up and see the objects placed on top of it. Since it is a nightstand and can be used on either side of the bed, it has two versions, one mirror of the other.

The project began in October 2017 and was completed in April 2018. It started in Santos SP and was completed in Sao Paulo SP, Brazil.

Production / Realization Technology:
Float has a box with two united storage spaces in it made of pines wood and painted with automotive hand painted. The box is supported on a base made of 10mm thick carbon steel bars with electrostatic painting.

Research Abstract:
Over the years, is noticed that we often come across smaller and smaller rooms, so we feel the need to create a smaller bedside table that could match the size of the room. The idea was to make some furniture that was simple and at the same time unique. The design of this nightstand is intended to fill these needs.

Challenge:
The biggest challenge when designing a piece is to think about every aspect of the project. This includes all segments from the execution of the part to the final customer, production, costs, target audience and marketing.
