BRIEF
During a prototyping project at Hyper Island my team’s client was a startup called Gigital. We were to create a mockup of the chat function for an app. The chat was to be the place for musicians and bookers to negotiate bookings.
ROLE
UX-designer and client relationship manager
PROCESS
The first step was to research the bookers and the artists to debrief the brief and make sure that the chat function was the most important thing to focus on. We found out that the problem for the users was lack of clarity and sense of security in the negotiation.
We set a focus question: ”How might we make the negotiation/contract clear & secure for both parties?” In order for the entire team to have the same scope before ideation. The idea we landed on was to integrate the contract function in the chat, to make sure that it solved the user's pain points bookings.
This led to the first round of lo-fi prototypes. By testing and iterating on the better ideas of prototypes we moved over to Sketch in order to start creating more and more hi-fi prototypes. We then sought out people from the target audience in order to get more qualitative input. By iterating we later on landed in the final product which we presented to the client.
