The Do Lectures
Designer & Developer
The idea is a simple one. That people who Do things, can inspire the rest of us to go and Do things too.
Back in 2007, a text came through on David Hieatt’s phone from Tony Davidson. It read: "Don’t just stand there, do something." Dick Dastardly. At the dinner table that night David and Clare Hieatt had a conversation that sparked the idea for The Do Lectures. To create a safe space to ask better questions. It has no desire to get big. It doesn’t need the press. The tickets sell out on the morning of March 1st. It doesn’t need a sponsor. It pays its way.
It takes place on the far edge of West Wales. And, yet, it attracts some of the most progressive minds on the planet. For many who attend, and indeed, who speak, it proves to be a life-changing set of 3 days. The talks are filmed and then made available to the world for Free. They attract a global audience each day to a cowshed. It's a network to help others reach their potential. That is why they do the do.
Initial ideas were drawn up by the Do team with further design and development on the Squarespace platform by A Printer's Son.
