The assigned task was to create a unique store front for New
Zealand. The idea was to create a comedy bar that could stand its
own ground, helped by it’s unique colour palette and design style.
Pigpen itself came from the idea of pigs snorting; a metaphor used
for when people laugh too hard. This was part of the message the
store wanted to send. Despite the interesting colour usage the most important thing would be that everyone had a fun time. This is why when it came to picking out the colours for the brand it was essential that none of them evoked a negative emotion. Yellow and pink are the essential two colours for the brand to represent comedy and the pig.
