The transmission assembly. Incorporates safety clutch at the motor output to protect the helical bevel gears (modelled as straight bevel for simplicity). This design, or the concept of the motor to be completely embedded in the side tracks is at the core of all the other design decisions and makes for a machine that can be back in action within an hour even after the most severe damage to the motor.
