IMAGINARIUM : INTO THE SPACE OF TIME
Singapore Art Museum at 8Q

"In Our Time"The illustration was a development from the Peta Singapura series. Singapore is a palimpsest with many layers of history, architecture, culture and memories. The city is never static.

The work is exhibited at the Singapore Art Museum at 8Q.
It is a site-specific installation with curtains, hanging props, cushions and a mural.
One of the sources of inspiration was Mary Bernadette Lee's "Wanderland" (2017)
The conceptualization goes back to August 2017.
Production takes place around early January 2018.
The exhibition opened on the 6th May 2018.
The mural spanned about 17 meters wide and took about 2.5 months to complete from January till late March 2018.
It was for the Imaginarium: Into the Space of Time exhibition from 6th May till 26th August 2018. The work itself explores the theme of space and time by encouraging "time travel" through inter-generational dialogue and the recollection of memories from the viewers.
It was intended to be a kind of Finding Waldo experience in the gallery as well.
