Gen-Draw
is a drawing work-series based on different sets of photos.
it is made with a generative scribbler scipt, which reads out colors and brightness of different photos, later i’m weaving image layers or parts of images together, either manual ly - using keyboard & mouse controlling the curve radius and stroke width - so the whole process is kind of an action painting, mixing forms and colors and structure very fast into each other.
or partly i also use automated processes, with different random or noise values and  timeline scripts...
mostly it produces much trash, only a few will be sorted out at the end.
this selection process takes a quite important part of the whole creative process.
the motifs came together during my walks in the lake district of brandenburg, north of berlin, during the great summer of 2018.
