Tsotsitaal is a slang that’s a mixture of all 11 official South African languages, used mostly in townships & rural areas.
This is a lowdown of kasi slang-terms, expressions and words of common use in the townships the South Africa as a whole
Dozo
Sounds like: do(r)-zo(r)
English Translation: Cigarette
Language: Tsotsitaal
Dozo means “cigarette” a small paper tube filled with cut pieces of tobacco, which people smoke
Belas
Sounds like: beh(r)-laa(r)s
English Translation: Cellphone
Language: Tsotsitaal
Belas means “Cellphone” A portable telephone that connects with the telephone network using radio waves
Voetsek
Sounds like: Foo(r)-tse(r)k
English Translation: Piss off

Voetsek means “Piss off” offensive used for telling someone to go away or that you are annoyed with them.
