Fabindia Special Occasions 2017

Fabindia Special Occasions 2017
Special Occasions is an annual promotion at Fabindia that is launched around September every year. It promotes garments and accessories made especially for special occasions like wedding functions and Indian festivals. Each piece is rich and exquisite with beautiful hand embroidery and Banarasi work.

For this campaign, I worked on the initial mood board and assisted the Art Director, Inahita Singh, during the shoot and styled the flat - lays. I also worked on the layout & design for various collateral.
Mood Board
All the above images are from the internet and magazines and are for mood board and reference purposes only
We wanted to capture the scene of a fun Indian Mehendi function and therefore created a vibrant and light - hearted mood board. The relaxed posture, happy expressions and light dewy makeup were decided keeping this in mind.
Master layout for Special Occasions - We used the corresponding jewelry flat-lay next to the hero image and also used the beautiful borders of each ensemble to highlight the intricacy of hand embroidered and hand woven garments.

Look Book Design
The look book was a small accordion style brochure. The layout was very unique as all the different borders for the looks were visible even before opening the brochure. This meant that the size of each spread was different.
Each spread had the photographed look with details and the flat lay. We included the names and SKU IDs of every ensemble and jewelry for easy access for the customer. The back side of the brochure had pictures from the catalogue of other garments included in Fabindia's Special Occasions line (last picture below).
