Every night is a blank canvas full of possibilities – which is why everyone looks forward to it. To help add to the anticipation, we asked Kenyans what their nights looked like. To do this, we enlisted the help of two well-known musicians, Blinky Bill and Khaligraph Jones. Fitted with data trackers, the two were tasked with enjoying a night out in Nairobi, while we captured, amongst other things, their heart rates, energy spent, distance travelled and steps taken.
We then created designs using data art techniques to depict the unique rhythms and energy of their nights out. These design interpretations were applied to all campaign elements, from animations on TV to poster designs.
