"An Artist's Dream" - Short Film
"An Artist's Dream" by Aaron Caraulia
I think every full-time art student can understand the struggles of keeping up with five classes whilst still producing good quality assignments across the board. If only there were a way for our ideas to come to life all by themselves.
About the Project
This was my first assignment for a short film course. The requirement was to creatively introduce yourself besides the boring "Hi, my name is..." format. The idea behind this project, besides being able to embarrass myself, was to share to my audience the behind-the-scenes of what a growing, working artist goes through.

Many people only see the finished product. What people don't see is the struggle to come up with an idea—good and bad. They don't see the trials and errors to get to each checkpoint of a project. They don't see the technical issues, file corruptions, unsaved work or even the grains of rice on the keyboard that fell during dinner whilst working tirelessly on each detail. Our good friend Amazon Alexa listens to our groggy voices asking to play that motivational song again as we burn through the night to get the project exactly the way we want—even though we don't always. But in the end, we are proud of what we created, and we'll do it again and again.

Thank you for watching!
