The motion graphic that I had done is about Monkey King (齐天大圣). I was inspired by the oriental (China) theme throughout the entire project.
Sun Wukong, also known as the Monkey King, is a figure who features in body of legends, which can be traced back to the period of the Song Dynasty. He appears as a main character in the 16th century Chinese Classical novel Journey To The Wesr (西游记). Sun Wukong is also found in many later stories and adaptations.
The above are the sketches that I had try out which is done mainly by using shapes and also earth elements which is wood, fire, earth and metal.
