RPI CLUB PUBLICITY
During my free time at University, I applied my passion for photo-shopping and image editing in order to develop graphic design skills. With each club I participated in I volunteered for publicity and art design positions tasks, improving my skills over time. Here you will find highlighted work from RPI clubs, the two most notable ones being the Class of 2015 Council and RPI Players. Work was often posted to social media, and thus had to be modified to fit different sized frames (facebook banners, wallpapers, etc.).
RENSSELAER TRIATHLETICS
One of the great parts about college is being able to branch out and take advantage of the available resources in order to hone one's skills. For me, that applied to my graphic design hobby as well. I elected to take digital art and communication courses, attended independent lessons on Photoshop, and pursued a minor in graphic design. In doing so, my studies placed me in contact with graphic art majors and together pioneered a graphic design meet-up where we could aid the RPI clubs and startups with their design challenges. One such club hoped to target those interested in triathletic events, for which I coordinated with a small team in order to design  graphics for their early marketing.
CLASS COUNCIL WORK
The majority of the graphics for the Class Council were for class trips and events. These events were private and usually featured tie-ins with existing IP, so the work that I did was largely unlicensed edits of existing art, logos, and themes (this aided in communicating events as existing artwork was more readily recognizable, and marketing efforts were better spent elsewhere). The "Lock-in" event, for example, occurred at a well-known 90's/retro entertainment complex, and I created an original composition based on the existing theme (pulled from website). Other events (shown below) featured specific media, for which I rearranged existing elements to create custom versions of official art.
THE RPI PLAYERS
RPI Players shows were public and for-profit, and thus followed strict licensing procedures for all publicly displayed artwork. I myself served as publicity manager and commissioned other artists to do the majority of the work, though when resources were low I would often publish my own work (as an added note, the image to the top-left is still used by the club to this day). I also did artwork / publicity design for non-show event (pictured below). Even so, I had an active hand in the visual communication design of all artwork (editing for clarity, for example), so feel free to ask me for examples of collaborated work.
