The main idea of this project was to design a food market that could be built and used by the community. It was inspired in organic shapes for the structure and practicability for the construction.
Again, it was inspired on the form of the Efizelia flower.
Here the materials to use where entirely conceived locally and easy to build.
The roofing structure is built to collect and re-direct the water to container for posterior use by the local users of the market.
The design structure has the perfect height to guarantee enough air circulation and in some parts of the roof zinc plates are alternated for plastic transparent plates for easy light penetration.

Customised vertical panels where also design, inspired by the detailed scheme that the section of the Efizelia trunk can generate.
Goals to achieve: organic inspired structure, re-use of natural resources, natural lighting and ventilation, prefabricated structure design for easy assembly.
