Badge for KMBS Strategic Military Program

Participants would like to have a school icon that could be worn on a jacket next to other important military badges.

About badge:

— should be in shape and style similar to the badges worn by the military

— look "influential" - fit into an another of real military awards, and that graduates of the program wore them with pride and at a meeting with other graduates they could immediately identify each other

— badge will be silver. Even small parts possible to create

— the primary is the logo and the brand of KMBS. That is, we carry the message about the school in the first place, not about the program. The identification of the participant must be through the KMBS brand

Starting from the brief, I began a search with real marks of distinction between the military academies of Ukraine.

But creating any design, ordinary examples are not enough.Therefore, the next step is a deeper search. I was looking for examples of existing and non-existing badges, real and fictitious. I also looked at examples of not only badges but cloak pins.

It helped me understand and feel the shape and character.

After that I was able to proceed to the outline.

Then vector.

In the end, I had 33 variants for refinement. I divided them into variants with text, without text, and variations of the form of which was special.

After that, I selected and finalized the most viable variants.

Despite the fact that it was not in the brief, I decided to do a visualization in 3D so that the client had the most complete picture.
