Jan 14th 2008 - The Carpionato Group's demolition permit is approved resulting in the destruction of the historically registered PVD Fruit Warehouse. The permit, sent after the group's purchase  (a sale made on the legal grounds that the building must forgo restoration in order to serve the PVD public) was filed after the Carpionato group discovered several homeless occupants. The permit revealed a concern regarding the building as a "potential fire hazard", despite the fact that the building consisted mainly of concrete, an inflammable material.
SPORES pays remembrance to the site of the demolished warehouse from across the street. It reads "CONCRETE ISN'T FLAMMABLE", "SPORES BEAR FRUIT" paying homage to warehouses organic content while physically acting as a dissemination of the building's structure.
