Bouncy Mountain is a simple little animation driven by basic noise, some awesome mountain textures / displacement from AxisFx, and basic VDB clouds in Octane.
Of course, there was some testing. I thought I could get soft body dynamics to react against the actual floor noise underneath but even with a lot of dynamics steps and calculating, still couldn't dial it in quite right without random twitching on some frames:
Turns out it was easier just to drive the floor and mountains with similar animated noise. I love mountains, and I like pairing textures together in unconventional ways. Nothing that crazy, but just something fun and simple I can watch loop over and over that's very appeasing to the eyes. Thanks for reading!
