VH1 Supersonic - Rebranding
VH1 Supersonic, a part of Viacom 18, is a multi-genre music festival in India. The festival happens every
year in February and is a three days long festival. During the festival, the most renowned DJs across the
globe including Marshmallow, Major Lazer and Sean Paul participate in the event.

Objective: Supersonic, a 5-year old well-known brand, had an ambition to rebrand themselves with a new
look and a new campaign.

Upon brainstorming and thinking aloud, there were two major themes that popped up – Make the bolt
synonymous to Supersonic & Make the identity the focal point of the 2019 campaign.
What was delivered is a CUSTOM TYPEFACE logo keeping in mind client’s requirement to retain the bolt
in the new look. Bolt – the brand identity for Supersonic – was then made the main theme for designing
all ATL and BTL campaign assets. An extension series of the new logo was made for different year-round events to ensure brand recall throughout the year.
