Shaak Diyé Maachh Taka ( Covering Fish With Greens )

Vernacular Typography ( Bengali )

The phrase here means covering fish with greens. My interpretation of it was that of 'Redundancy'.

Bengali as a script is absolutely beautiful and it was an absolute pleasure working with this language. There are different words used for each segment of the creative. However, with each segment there is one character missing.

The way this poster is supposed to work is that while the viewer is initially going through the creative, he or she will start to notice that there is one extra character in each segment. This extra character actually completes the word for that particular segment. Hopefully this will further intrigue the viewer and make them look for extra characters in the remaining segments as well. Upon doing so, he or she will find that when the complete words are strung together, they form the phrase 'Shaak Diyé Maachh Taka' or 'Covering Fish With Greens'.

All their effort will have been for nothing. It would be 'Redundant'.
Hope you enjoyed the concept.
